Special Note: The State Board of Elections has several objections and it is not anticipated to be resolved in time for ballots to be prepared and tabulators programmed and tested for the opening of By Mail and Early Voting scheduled to start February 4, 2016. Several Counties are anticipating we will not be starting until approximately February 17, 2016. Jefferson County started early voting on February 16, 2016, with voters inserting ballots into the auxiliary bin of the ballot box. After programming cards are received from vendor, the tabulators will be tested then the ballots will be inserted with representatives from the two major political parties present.
Nursing Home voting will be conducted on Friday, March 11, 2016 - for schedule click here.
Grace Registration and Voting begins Feburary 17, 2016 - county residents must register or change name/address, and vote at the same time. Grace registrants cannot vote at the polls on Election Day.
